About Us
Risonanze di Puglia was created in 2025 by Louise Richards, a PR and communications specialist, amateur violinist and classical music-lover.
We design slow musical itineraries in Puglia for the passionate and the curious.
Our distinguishing feature is intimacy. For over a decade, we have had the immense joy of immersing ourselves in the relatively unknown, but extremely dynamic music and cultural scene in the heel of Italy. By choosing Risonanze di Puglia you will benefit from our longstanding experience, intimate knowledge and close relationships with artists. We can’t wait to share our enthusiasm with you.
Why Puglia?
Puglia, situated in the heel of Italy, is known for its simple, yet delicious cuisine, for the exceptional quality of its golden olive oil, for its beautiful coastline and beaches, its pretty towns and surprising architecture. Much less well-known is the richness of its music scene, from opera and chamber music to traditional and contemporary pizzica music and dance.
Renowned musicians from all over the world come to Puglia each year to perform in festivals, joining the ever-growing network of local classical and folk musicians who are also taking their place on the world stage. Whatever the season, concerts are abundant and, in the Spring and Summer, there is an explosion of festivals, including the Festival della Valle d’Itria, an opera festival created over 50 years ago in the beautiful town of Martina Franca, home to the Academy of Belcanto.
Are you catching on to the secret?
What led Louise to Puglia?
Louise was born in Wales, UK. Her formative years were steeped in music, in particular the violin and orchestral playing, along with a growing love of languages. She enjoyed a career in PR and Communication in the luxury sector in Paris and Zürich, travelling the world as a spokesperson and overseeing high-profile press and consumer events.

Louise went on to become a freelance consultant, allowing herself more time to enjoy her old and new passions: music and a different, more sustainable lifestyle in her second home in beautiful Puglia. Along with her partner, a musicologist, she has established a wonderful network of friends, from musicians and dancers to academics, local experts and festival and concert organisers.

Today, she spends her life between Paris and Puglia and is a firm advocate of the music scene in the heel of Italy, culminating in the creation of Risonanze di Puglia.
A little side note: our name and logo
If you are having trouble remembering our name, Risonanze di Puglia, just think of Echoes of Puglia. Risonantia, Latin for “echo”. May the echoes of Puglia resound long after your stay!
Our logo honours the ancient Italian art of Luminarie or light sculptures which have come to symbolise festivities in Puglia. We’d love you to see them. Thank you to our talented friend Anna Laura Zizzi.

Service
Risonanze di Puglia creates tailor-made musical itineraries for individuals and groups.
From the moment you land in Puglia to the moment you sadly depart, we can offer a full travel itinerary designed especially for you. Alternatively, you may have already planned your trip and would like us to enhance it with some special musical moments.
Whatever your needs, we’ll embrace them to create magical experiences throughout your stay.
Why choose a Risonanze di Puglia itinerary?
Our itineraries go beyond the attendance of festivals and pre-existing concerts. They offer exceptional and intimate moments with celebrated artists (opera singers, pianists, chamber groups, folk musicians and dancers) in the form of private concerts in magical places and behind-the-scenes visits.
The itineraries also allow participants to visit the beautiful towns of Puglia and better understand and embrace the culture, architecture and art forms present in the region. Of course, plenty of time is given to enjoy the delights of the local cuisine and wine. And for those who wish to combine music and culture with nature, everything is possible.
Slow and Sustainable
What our itineraries will never do is over-schedule. Life in Puglia is slow. We’ll give you plenty of time to enjoy it.
It goes without saying that sustainability is at the heart of all our recommendations – restaurants serving local produce, hotels adhering to environmentally-sound practices…
Are you ready to discover something really new? Fuori dell’ordinario*, as the locals say. Puglia awaits you!

* out of the ordinary
